As I remember it, it's mostly a slow burn then towards the end turns into a runaway train, it's a pretty good time as you watch the spiral.

Eyes have been a work in progress each time. I left negative space on her ears in the first one like in the tree above. The second one I had worked out something better with asking how the eyes were drawn int he template lineart. The third is Inubashiri Momiji and was actually commissioned. These ones took about 40 hours each.
