It definitely sounds like he'll make a great teacher! The piano is so linear that it's also probably the easiest to understand. I hope you eventually get an awesome piano!

I know they have those games on PSN right now. I need to get money to buy them. XD I do. I haven't played many of the games, but do like the series. I've cosplayed Rinoa Heartilly from FFVIII (albeit, not very good ^.^'). Crystal Chronicles is my most favorite.
