True, but team rockets meowth can translate for other pokemon, thats what I liked about him, hes a pokemon who learned how to speak like a human. It makes it sound out of character. O.o but yeah meowth is a normal type. I just hope pokemon doesnt end up like archie sonic with its long running continuity so out of control.

Also I know why the legendaries are set up after you choose a starter, its to cover your butt typewise. When picking fennikin, hes weak against water. Whats strong against water? Electricity.

Speaking of zapdos and pikachu, I have to point this out. Durringan early episode of pokemon x and y, meowth claims that he cannot understand electricity between two electric types when they communicate with each other. Did the writers forget pokemon 2000?!
