that kinda sucks but at the same time good, follow what you want to do. My parents were like that and thought that anime, comics were just silly [though my father is a superman fan lol] and wanted me to become a Doctor or Lawyer, but deep down I loved this stuff and enjoyed drawing it so I wanted to pursue a career in art. Now they don't mind me doing all this stuff and support my antics lol, going back to school for art.
