I suppose I am one who fancies himself a bit of an artsy, quirky type (artsy because I spend my days as an aspiring visual creative (ie. graphic novels, books, illustrations, concept art etc) when I'm not busy being involved with a certain Castle (for which I'm a character tour guide) or the art gallery and I'm currently working for.
Anime/Manga Cosplay is a major hobby of mine! And I am looking to become better aquainted with like-minded individuals :)
I have an exceedingly open mind, but not so open that I am beyond opinion, discernment or even personal preference. It has been said that I seem a little peculiar, perhaps even a little mad (not the psychotic kind!), but it has also been said that madness is a near ally of great wits, 'and thin partitions do their bounds divide'... or something along those lines... In any case, I am not overly fond of people who are too quick to judge, and who reject a person simply for coming across as different, and a supposed 'deviation from the norm'. I view normality as an incredibly superficial, mundane way of seeing, and something for people who simply haven't the courage or heart to seek beyond surface values.
Simply put, I enjoy difference... and seeing other people who aren't afraid to stand out, be unique and make things interesting for others as well as themselves. Much of that comes from the fact that I am very androgynous, and in many ways, unlike most men in my appearance. That is simply what I feel gives a more 'real' impression of my inner thoughts and feelings, especially when it comes to breaking the enforced boundaries for gender conformation and/or recognition.
As you might have guessed, my true passions lie within the arts, literature, music, films, theatre, while my penchant pertains toward philosophy, fantasy, dark romanticism, nature... oh and the subject of occult matters and general 'otherness' is also of some interest (mainly the theoretical side as it has helped to inspire some of my creative writing). My search is for depth, meaning and truth in all that I endeavour to do, namely my creative processes and studies, and in every romance and passionate moment I live to experience. I hope to find somebody who might share similar thoughts and feelings to my own, with whom I might be able to share such experiences.
So there you have it, and whatever you'd care to think, it's really up to you! I am me (or at least, the one who just spent the last 15 minutes attempting to compose something vaguely interesting to put on his profile... I have much respect for you already if you have taken the time to read this far!)
Oh and I also happen to be pansexual... somebody who does not discriminate on the basis of a person's gender, but values who that person is as an individual.
