I am Scottish/Scandinavian and have lived my whole life in the southeastern United States. I'm very young at heart and think that I will age well because of it. I was still being carded for cigarettes until I quit smoking about about 1.5 years ago.
I took traditional Karate when I was a kid and received my black belt before I turned 12. I even did the Karate summer camps and participated in every tournament that I was eligible for. Would you believe that I never lost a match? Honestly. Something about martial arts calmed me down and let me focus where others hesitate. I studied other styles as well but mostly on my own instead of with formal instruction.
I finished my bachelor's degree in technology management in December of 2009, but it hasn't done anything for me yet. I did enjoy several of the general ed. classes though. I'm pretty good with chemistry and astronomy as it turns out.
I LOVE to laugh. More importantly, I love to make other people laugh. I am loyal to a fault, which has caused me a lot more pain over the years than I care to admit. I never once cheated on a girlfriend (or a test!)and i've never declined to help a friend... even when it cost me dearly, and it has.
I've been told that i'm too polite. Even when i'm angry I tend to be so in a polite manner. I have no problems standing up for myself or anyone else, I just dislike being rude.
Obviously i'm a manga/anime fan. I also like a lot of current and classic sci-fi such as Doctor Who. I enjoy reading, primarily fantasy/sci-fi novels. I like black & white movies and tv shows, from old westerns like "Have Gun will Travel" to the Alfred Hitchcock Hour.
I LOVE animals. I am very concerned with trying to get animals rescued and shutting down puppy mills and dog fighting rings etc,. I've spent a lot of time trying to help strays and burying the poor ones that get hit by cars that no one else bothers to do anything about. I have 3 rescue dogs and 1 rescue kitty. Bonnie & Clyde are my big ole pit/lab/? mutts and Piglett is my long haired chihuahua :). Annie is my calico kitty.
