You got it, Serial Experiments Lain. It's pretty interesting once you get past the weirdness. Personally, I think Cat Soup is weirder; it's like an acid trip.

I dig Cowboy Bebop and InuYasha, but otherwise I do not like most of the anime on your "Hate" list (Example: Naruto, Code Geass), so we can get along :)
