I would call myself a complicated person, but I'm sure we're all pretty complicated.
You may call me Katarina :) I'm 20 years old, residing here in Canada ~ I recently graduated with a diploma in hairdressing and am now working at a salon for apprenticeship! But before I've enrolled myself in hair design, I was in university taking Occupational and Public Health BSC program (so I can be a health inspector and fail every Micky Dees out there! buwaha). I gave it a shot and wasn't my thing (didn't interest me much..sad face).
Yet, like most people around my age, I still have no clue what I really wanna do after.
There are just too many possibilities and I suck at making decisions.
So, we'll see where life will take me. I'm opportunistic..!
(I will most definitely go back to school for something else, hah.)
Now we have arrived at my hobbies, likes and dislikes.
What can I say? Since I'm here, you all could take a good guess that I'm into anime and manga (and cosplay!), but I am also a fan of other comics/shows/movies like those of DC and Marvel! I can totally give a lecture on how awesome the X-Men 1992 animated series! By far the best there was and anything after that was sucked into a void. I'm also into other cartoons, retro ones like Pink Panther to newer shows like Adventure Time!
Now you must think that I'm just lazying around and watch cartoons all day, but that's not the case! I'm a folk dancer (Croatian one at that) and have been since the age of 6 =) I also play a traditional instrument called "tamburica" - the brac (brach) kind. I also enjoy soccer but have never been in a group before, just between friends. Another hobby of mine is drawing, crafting, annoying my cat, baking or create a concoction of whatever with my friends and make them drink it.
Some of my likes - talking in foreign accents when reading out-loud, the adrenaline rush you feel after a good work out (spin class!), playing fantasy based mmorpgs, Slavic and Nordic folklore, learning new languages and other cultures, history! steampunk! taekwon-do, adventure, kpop, jrock, Sherlock, Doctor Who, weird-ing out my friends (be it public or not!), cuddling on cold days, Russian chai mixed with berry tea, cinnamon or peppermint and sugar (yes, that specific), zombies, travelling. Sometimes I rather stay under my comfy covers and read a book than go out clubbing.
I also enjoy simple things like taking a long ride on the public bus and have a companion with me, yet enjoy each other's presence rather than talk.
What I ...no, not dislike, but HATE - people saying yo more than once in every sentence they spew out of their mouths o_o conceited people and selfish people, can't stand extreme immaturity, when people cancel on me for a lame reason (laziness strikes again!) when we've been planning for weeks or so ahead of time, when my cat shits herself out of fear AFTER I give her a bath, too much yellow in anything! bananas! untwist-able caps, crowds in the bus, the word "squabble" and the Croatian word "sisa", etc.
So that is it for now, if you read all of this.. CONGRATS! you just won yourself a bloody cupcake =) No, really, I baked cupcakes with sugar glass stuck in them and drizzled with fake edible blood. They're pretty cool ~
A few more things before I submit this "about me", if you've noticed the "interested in" above this... or to the side...wherever it will be placed, I selected that option (no preference) simply because I want to get to know people within my area who is into anime and cosplaying.. since I moved from a rather large city into a smaller one.. I feel pretty lonely ;w; So like, let's be friends, a'ight? I'm shy at first, but once I get to know you and am comfortable, you'll see how weird (in a good way) I can be ^^
