It's really very simple and almost fool proof!
If you get loose braid hair, sew it in long lines 4 times (or use caulk on a long line on the front and back sides of lined up hair)
then all you have to do is hand sew the hair (known at that point as "Wefts") to a wig/weaving cap!
Basically its
Sew maching - sew hand
or
Caulk hand - sew hand
There are some very good tutorials out there for it!
