nah, never ask at schools ^^' often otakus make facebook groups and events in the town, and i'm pretty sure that in LA are many otakus, i mean... the city is so freakin big xOx

I wanted to back them but found out about it on kickstarter to late thankfully they were selling them on their site for 300. I was originally going to attempt to make a game for it but work gets in my way.

Yea man i totally understand i wish i had a steady flow of income so i could support the developers but that's not gonna happen anytime soon for me by the way it looks. So how did you come about the oculus?

From what I have read they are trying to figure out new ways to trick the mind in to thinking its moving with out moving. The Vr age is going to be interesting. Right now the main issue is the screen door effect. You can notice it good on the developers kit the hd version is said to limit it a lot. The screen door effect is basically caused by your eyes being close to the screen and you see the pixels at a individual level so it kinda looks like there is a screen(the ones you have in your windows) in front of the picture it self. its really is only noticeable when you aren't moving in game or when you are looking at something far away. We are still far away from the vr that they had in .hack or sword art online though. that would be cool to be fully immersed like that. but for now this is the best we got at hopefully people buy into it so they can keep improving it and make it the next generation of videogames and movie watching platforms.

Yeah you can some times feels like you are spinning when you are sitting still. The biggest issue that I have had with it so far is moving around and getting tangled up in the cords. I went and bought a really nice pair of wireless headphones so i didn't have as many cords to get tangled in. Standing up well riding a roller coaster game is pretty intense you almost feel like you are on a roller coaster.
