is horror good? If so then I recommend 'Another' and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Zetsuen no Tempest is a pretty good action/ sci-fi, has a little romance, but mostly action. Full Metal Panic is a great Action/Mecha anime, again it has romance but thats kinda hard to avoid.
