OK. That's roughly the same reason why I go to conventions. I'll be running a panel next year, hopefully, and I intend on cosplaying as long as my wallet and patience will let me. It's fun going to cons and meeting other people that have similar taste and interest in anime/video games like you. I just wish people would stop seeing anime as something for kids.
