Who said that? Guys and girls can watch whatever they want and enjoy. Some macros animus have been good.
I definitely recommend watching the first two seasons before checking out the manga for the rest. The third season has been adapted but it's also better to appreciate it's roots where it began in the manga. The art style is passable by part 3.
