Yeah, I think chibi is a pretty decent place to start when looking to go full on manga-style art, I've drawn a few chibis here and there myself and I'm quite proud of them o/ If I could find where I put them I would put them on the pictures section of my profile page XD Yeah, to me those old school stories were really just a rough base for something even better o/ Though I tend to rip ideas from my old works and blend a load together to create something different in the end o/ Plus they're quite nostalgic! Good question. I think you're on to something. Kashima did make homemade chocolate which takes a lot of effort (even though Hori doesn't like it). You usually do things like that for people that you care about. In that regard Kashima is quite forward but I don't know. Hori is very assertive, he likes to take charge.
