It will be hard for Mashima to write a happy ending between those two because that means killing everyone except for them. I guess if they find a way to get rid of that curse maybe. Or why not seal him away too? Mavis can still be visible to the fairy tail members so they can be reunited through spirit form too.

HOPEFULLY THERE WILL I CAN ALREADY SEE WHERE THIS IS GOING HE WANTS FAIRY HEART OR LUMEN HISTOIRE BECAUSE IT IS HER! Since she has the same curse as him I think she actually developed it on a certain level she killed everybody around him at any moment more than Zeref's curse do. That's why her body is sealed. When he frees her body she will end up killing everyone that's why he said "humans will all dissappear" he'd rather have the whole humanity erased than to not be with her.
