I have some original works but I find fanfiction is great practice mainly because of the fact that it requires you (at least the way I write fanfiction) to manipulate the story to your advantage and then keep the characters in check. So when I write for real I can keep my characters with the same personality and they don't go all over the place, if that makes sense. ^^ my original works never go far because I create such a detailed plot line and I get very nit picky on word choice and minor details. Details make the story. :3

Cool! My problem with writing is that I find I avoid character interaction and conversation to just write the story... Im not confident enough to do that just yet! Mine isnt fanfiction though, its original stuff! :)
