Hello my name is Roy. I’m an upbeat person who loves the outdoors. I like biking, fishing, baseball, gardening, art, and cruise nights. I ride my bike a lot, usually for a coffee run, to the library, or just to enjoy a nice sunny day.
I have a pretty big geek side to me too. I like reading biographies on old Hollywood film stars, comics and manga. I enjoy old movies (anything black and white), horror, sci-fi, indy, art house, foreign, anime and film noir films.
I love discovering new music. I grew up listening to metal and punk. I also like rockabilly, big band, and a lot of foreign bands.
My favorite time of the year is fall and Halloween. Svengoolie and old monster movies are my thing.
I studied graphic design and Japanese in college. I’ve done a little bit of freelance writing for national magazines. Right now I’m working on my first book. I’ve worked in the lumber business my whole life.
