Looks like you've had a few other web developers offer to help with the site. Ever took up any of those offers? Are the returns from the site really only enough to keep it running and promote it at conventions?
I keep seeing plenty of subtle things here that hinder the site, making it less usable, sometimes critically hindering people, and together project an unprofessional level that may drive a portion of potential users away from the site.
