there are lots that occur in the LA area but there are several up north too.. the big one that happens in LA is durring the summer and its called Anime Expo. But San Fran. has several as well.

well then... here is a really good site for you that show most of the major cons i believe. Cosplay.com Just look under the calendar part and it should list in order of dates. Im sure there is one close.... might be a few hour drive but small sacrifices!
