I have seen Mirai Nikki and loved it. I watched it during a yandere spree since Yuno Gasai is considered by many to be the definitive yandere. I have not seen Gurren Lagann though, I plan to watch it soon though since it's one of those series that it seems like everyone has seen but me.

I love Kill La Kill but they throw in so much comedy including the art style that it's hard to take the drama seriously. It strikes me as a good action anime for the younger crowd. Overall I prefer something darker and more serious for a revenge plot.

I have some ideas but haven't decided for sure. I would love to crossplay, maybe Mizore from Rosario+Vampire. Or if I was shorter, younger and more androgynous there are several red head twintail loli types I like. But I hate my big nose and it kills my confidence for looking fem. Though I crossdressed a couple times when I was younger for special events and even got hit on by some guys who thought I was a girl (I was all gothed out in a black miniskirt and big boots and long hair in twintails and spiked collar with leash) but my age is also catching up even if I can still pass for 10 years younger, age exaggerates masculine features around the eyes and such. For male cosplays I tend to like interesting outfits with cool weapons, like Ragna in Blazblue for example. So I would go with something like that probably.
