Hmm, so if you become one of my favorite authors, you have to learn Latin. That sounds like a bad deal for you. I usually fail hardcore at the languages I try to learn... And Barnes and Nobles is definitely my Achilles Heel. I say to myself all the time, I'm just gonna go in and do some reading with a cup of coffee and maybe "browse" a little when I'm done. Next thing I know I'm leaving the store with half a dozen books and they end up just collecting dust for now... One day I am going to finish them all. I still have a weeks paid vacation I need to take by year's end, so maybe I can finish some reading and start new stuff then. YESSSS!!! You just became my favorite person on here. Just kidding, but you did gain some bonus points. J. R. R. Tolkien is my absolute favorite author ever. I adore TLOTR like it's a drug! I aspire to write half as well as he did some day. Oh, and C. S. Lewis is a close second, which incidentally, they were extremely close friends. I was a little dissappointed with how the Hobbit turned out too. But it's still an amazing movie. So it was some kind of fallout or maybe a meteor? Hmmm, so many possibilities! This is sounding like quite the read!! I'm getting all fired up just thinking about it, lol. I love books with some awesome plots and epic narrative. Hopefully you can do both! Woah, could you imagine if someday I had you as one of my favorite authors! :D PS - I have so many books piled up to read, and so little time. It's depressing... :(

So no dugongs, well that's a bummer. Just kidding!! So it's about a female mercenary on a desert planet which is largely run by the mafia. I think I'm starting to piece it together! I have another book you might like too. It's called "Dragon's Blood" by Jane Yolen. This is the book that got me hooked on the fantasy genre, and it's set on a desert planet. It's a pretty easy read, lol, I read it when I was like 12 or so. But I recently reread it and it is just as good. I don't want to give to much away in case you decide to read it, but it's pretty awesome!

Haha, little by little I'm gonna find out all about the plot. So far it's about a female mercenary in a desert. Now I'm intrigued even more. Is it like Tatooine, or maybe Alabasta? After I get caught up on some Mangas and Animes I'm going read the book series "Dune". That ones a Sci fi set on a desert planet and it's supposed to be a huge classic, so was curious to see if you've read that book?
