It might be a process, but you won't regret it..! ...Well, most aren't series, so unless you either have a Ps Vita or keep track of their games, I doubt you would... Ah, sorry. I suppose I could have just checked your Anime list. As said I do have it, though I ended up deciding to wait until the second season was over... (Since I had no ideas who Sinon was when I saw her...) I suppose I have added myself to that number then... Albeit, to get a grasp on the main story, you could just get Persona 4 on the Ps Store. (Originally on the PS2) It'll just be missing certain activities... Though you could also get Persona 3 to get a taste of what Persona is like... (I saw this under the assumption that you have neither played nor researched...) I've personally only played Final Fantasy 8/8-2 on the Xbox and about five minutes of one of them on the PS2, so sadly, I can't vouch for the Ps Vita's... Though I still imagine them to be quite entertaining...
