Well, usually when I'm asked this, I list off what I'm studying (which is Professional & Technical Writing, Creative Writing, and Philosophy), but while those probably help put me in some kind of category, they probably don't really answer the question.
I read, watch, and listen to a wide variety of genres. I have favorite genres that I float towards of course though.
I can seem somewhat quiet to those who meet me under normal circumstances. However, I assure you that I'm quite ridiculous, and quirky. Particular subjects that I'm interested in can cause me to get quite excited (like anime, dramas, stories, literature, eggnog...oh, don't get me started on eggnog). I don't get to talk about my favorite topics enough, so I partially spaz (in a good way) when I get to...(sigh, I need to work on that).
I'm sort of informally studying Japanese. That is, I've watched so many Jdramas lately that I've started to pick up a lot more than when I watched subbed anime. I want to go to Japan one day, so eventually I will get serious and try to become decently fluent. Since language, and the use of it, is basically my strong point in my studies, it's not overly hard for me to pick up on certain things and notice differences in sentence structure.
