How much have you looked online for people in your area? Maybe you could try somewhere like the ACen or GenCon forums. Even if you haven't been to them yourself those cons are the most likely ones that people near you might go to.

Hmmm, that's a good question. I know there's one here that isn't affiliated with any school or anything but I'm not sure how it first got started. I found it from its website after it had already been going for many years. I guess you'd have to first find a few other people to form the club, but not having them was the problem to begin with. <_< Maybe I'm just going in circles...
