Ah, I really want to buy a top hat to go with my steampunk cosplay but all of the nice ones are pretty expensive. :/

otakuxlord
Yup, Gryffindor Ftw. I like your snazzy steam punk top hat, its hella rad.

Hi, I'm Nathaniel, you seem interesting, lets be friends :)

I've been a lot of places and known a lot of people. In my experience there are two types of people who embrace styles similar to yours. The first type are these really cool, genuine, non-judgmental people who are unique because that's just the way they are. They don't care if people judge them and they don't judge others. Free-spirited people who just are living their own life, you know? I have friends like that; their uniqueness gives them a rare outlook and interesting insight; it's enlightening just to be around them, wow. The second type are people who dress and act unique because they just can't make "typical" work. They secretly scorn "typical" people and think they're better, smarter, or whatever -er they can come up with. These people you want to avoid like the plague because they're bitter and judgmental and their sour attitude will just drag you down. Leave them be and they usually find like minded folks with which to murmur about how everyone else sucks but them. It's not a great way to be, but to each his own. I, like any rational person, realize that that's just my opinion based on experience, so won't use it to make universal statements regarding people about which I nothing. But I can say regardless of what ever else, a judgmental person is not a person I want to know.

I'm not really arguing with you, your opinion is fine, but it's just so weird to me that you'd pass judgment on a huge class of people based on how they dress. So a girl dresses a little skimpier than maybe you're comfortable with --I'm not as quick to judge that girl based on knowing pretty much nothing about her except that she decided to wear yoga pants that day or something. A friend of mine is a Ph.d student, a charity worker, and overall awesome person, and sometimes she goes out to bars and dresses a little skimpy because she wants a break from all that work and just wants to feel like a girl sometimes. But, like I said, whatever you say.
gamemaster1
Eh, if you say so.

Deviance is kind of like that isn't it? It's like this weird kinda dorky girl I know, she sometimes has these rainbow highlights and black lipstick; a lot of people hate it and call names behind backs, some people like it and think it's pretty cool, but it doesn't really matter either way because in the end she's just doing her. But seriously...you are under arrest though.
