Con-goer, Anime lover and Otaku extraordinaire! Ok, maybe not, but you get the general idea :)

FYI my Anime list on here is just a VERY rough overview, I just selected a few key series I've seen. To see the full list of Anime I've seen [over 200 titles], check out my Kitsu profile at:
https://kitsu.io/users/DreamFanFilms

In all seriousness though, I loved Anime / Manga / Japanese Games & culture enough to take 2 years of Japanese communications [language] classes, although I am a bit rusty with it now.

I've been watching Anime / reading manga since approximately 2001. It all started when I saw Spirited Away, and was totally blown away. But it wasn't until a few months later that I saw a local Anime store with a wallscroll for it [which I now recognized]. I rented Escaflowne, and was immediately hooked on Anime for life. Anyways, you'll notice that the majority of what I've watched being in the 90s to 2010 or so, mostly toward the middle of that, but there's definitely exceptions in both directions. Not that I don't watch anything new, just not a ton, life has often been quite busy on and off.

Anyways, I've been a PC gamer almost my whole life. While I used to play a huge variety of games, lately I jump back and forth between Black Desert Online, Overwatch and Diablo 3. I used to play World of Warcraft since late BC expansion, and I'm sure I'll play again at some point. Like almost everyone, I do play League of Legends sometimes too. This is just my primary games, I'll play others and I'm open to trying some new ones :) When I was younger I played a HUGE variety of games and genres, Racing [i.e. early Need for Speed games], RTS [Age of Empires 2 and it's x-pack, Homeworld games], FPS [Half-Life, Counter Strike, Doom, etc.], platformers [Mario, Sonic, some PC platformers, etc.], even some Puzzle games.

I'm not going to go into deep depth on favorites of Anime & Mange, but a quick rundown:
Manga:
Negima! Magister Negi Magi
Bakuman [not to be confused with "Bakugan"]
Honey Hunt [if you're not familiar, it has nothing to do with what it sounds like]
Gunsmith Cats

Anime:
This is a hard one. I don't think I can list just one as my all-time favorite, but my top few picks are:
Stellvia [a.k.a. Stellvia of the Universe]
Full Metal Panic [the first season in Particular]
Gundam SEED & Gundam SEED Destiny
Martin Successor Nadesico [a.k.a. Nadesico]
Lucky Star
Initial D
Last Exile

Movies:
I'm a big movie buff, so there's way too many to list; all the classics [Star Wars, Indy movies, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, etc.]
A few more recent ones I really enjoyed:
Inception, Super 8, How to Train your Dragon, Hannah, Brave and - because I loved the book and was waiting for the movie for 10+ years - Ender's Game.

As far as "At Anime Conventions" goes, I love taking pictures of cosplayers, going to photoshoots, etc. I do also cosplay myself, although I'm hoping to make or buy a new costume in the near future. I love the Masquerade as well, it's always a blast [watching, I've never been in one]. I do enjoy various panels, events, dealer's room, etc. too.

In real life I have a lot of knowledge / experience in automotive motorsports, sports cars, etc., specifically modifications, and generally on imports. Of course, this comes with lots of general knowledge about cars, engines, etc. in general. ...and yes, I am familiar with all or almost all the cars in Initial D, which focuses on IMHO the golden era of sports/tuner cars, the 90s.

Anyways, feel free to say "hi", I won't bite! ^_^ I'm super easy to talk to, not pushy, and am good with outgoing AND shy people, as I USED to be shy. Also, feel free to ask me questions!
