Macau/澳门 was also Portugal's colony~In this century, only 50 residents there speak localized Portuguese as the first language.

And thus, in April 29th of 1945, at Fornovo di Taro, the ENTIRE 148th German Infantry Division, with 15.000 men led by German General Otto Fretter-Pico and Italian General Marco Carloni have surrendered to the Brazilian Expeditionary Force.
Fretter-Pico and Carloni were escorted by Brazilian Generals Falconiere and Zenóbio to Florence, Italy, where they were relinquished to the 5th North American Army.

And that was the brazilian answer, delivered to the 148th infantry division of the Wermacht by airplanes:
"WHY you German soldiers keep fighting?
There is a very hard question to answer - in fact, there is no reasonable answer to it.
You keep fighting, but acknowledge that Germany is losing the war.
You keep fighting, but acknowledge that each day of war means new destruction to your country, new dangers and suffering to your families.
You keep fighting, when it is clear that the only ones interested with the promulgation of the war are the directors of the Party who want, at any cost, postpone the consequences, that the Nazi defeat, shall inevitably bring to them.
Remember that your loved ones want you back - alive!
Remember also that there is only one safe way home - by the Allied prisons!
According to the Geneva Convention, recognized by Brazil, you shall have the following privileges as Allied prisoners:
1. You shall be immediately removed from the battle zone.
2. You shall be fed the same way the Allied Troops are.
3. When ill, you shall be treated in the same hospitals as our soldiers.
4. When the war ends, you shall be returned home as soon as possible!"

Today, I shall share a word about the FEB/BEF (Brazilian Expeditionary Force)'s marvelous exploits during WWII...
This is a letter the Nazis delivered to the Brazilian soldiers demanding their rendition in the war.
"Brazilians:
Have you thought why the americans pay you so well?
It's because they want to take you along!
And why they want to take you along?
Because they want to fend off your best soldiers!
And why they want to fend off your best soldiers?
So you won't be able to defend your fatherland within Brazil anymore!
Who threatens the brazilian frontiers?
The enemy that is already there!
Who is the true enemy of Brazil?
The imperialist american that wants to make a colony out of Brazil!"
