I'm a man who wants a woman that is not defined by her past. Time and time again, I've dated women who can't seem to deal with their baggage from previous relationships/marriage, and it led to something ending before it could truly begin.
I was born in Charleston, SC (Chucktown!), partially raised there, but mostly raised in Virginia Beach, VA (Neptune City!). I lived in Southern Cali (San Marcos) for two years, several years ago, and I fell in love with it. Now, I'm back in Cali, but this time, in a small town. I'm adjusting to it one day at a time!
Some of my hobbies include exercising/hiking/running, reading, listening to/making music, playing video games, and watching the occasional anime. Side note: I went from generally not liking to run, to running half marathons. The first one was in Honolulu, the second one was in Virginia Beach, and the third one was in San Luis Obispo, CA. One thing that running half marathons has taught me is that there is nothing you can't achieve, if you set your mind to it. Cliche? Perhaps. But, in my world, it's true!
Japan is one of the most awesome countries I've visited. I would like to visit Europe soon. Life is short, so, why not see as much of the world as you feasibly can?
So, I have some expectations when it comes to my ideal woman: (1) she should have a healthy amount of self-esteem. (2) she should have some ambition (in other words, aiming to just be a housewife isn't attractive to me). (3) I would prefer that she has no children, but having one isn't a deal-breaker. (4) she should value communication in a relationship. Without that, a relationship is doomed from the start.
I've been in the military since February 2010, and was promoted, recently, to Staff Sergeant! I like my job, loved being stationed in Hawaii, and love the fact that my life can only get better from this point!
