What's your bandwidth situation like? If you (not)torrent, have you looked into Hi10p releases? They're like half the size of a normal MKV, so a typical 12 episode series gets shrunk down to like 1-1.5G. If worse comes to worse, I can send you stuff on burnt DVDs, haha! Those admission costs for cons are a bitch, aren't they? Look into doing staff or panels to get a free ride, like I do =D Though, I'd rather pay than do staffing. I'm there to party, not to work!

Both very good series. You should check out Squid Girl. Ah My Goddess is also good. That's pretty cool that you are part of the con! Its about the same here, not many stores carry and the selection is quite poor. I was using an import site, but they ignored my last order, gave no customer support, and never filled the order. I rather enjoyed the sub origionals so its sad they did me like that. Id sure like to hear more about your involvement in the con, that sounds exciting (and labor intensive). My first anime was Robotech. I stayed up and watched the whole thing on vhs, was absolutely worthless the next day in class though. I think its great you get to expose young ppl like that, and wish I had an anime savvy person that would have shown me cons and such when I was younger. I did think abouut helping out with Sugoicon a few times, but then I wouldn't have been able to see it from the fan side. Im a little disappointed I didn't help at least one of the years I attended as im sure it would have been a great experience.

I agree. I had a late start into anime, and even later into cons. Not sure if I could imagine what my collection and con attendance would be if I started earlier. Last con I went to was Sugoicon several years back. Since I've moved to different state and haven't found anyone really into anime. You have a certain place you get your anime? I normally use RightStuf, but sometimes Amazon or Best Buy. I have both dub and sub items, but don't like to mix mid series. Which do you prefer? You have some good stuff on your anime list, my list is outdated. Any suggestions? There is a new Tenchi series I have preordered.

I had started My Bride way back when but never got around to finishing it. Was it any good? I'd also heard about Shattered Angels but people had said they liked the previous series, Kannazuki no Miko, more so. I'm having a hard time thinking of some romance comedies that aren't full on perverted ^^;
