No no, there's no need to apologize! Honestly, I like seeing people being passionate about something.
Honestly, I'm frequently the same way (I tend to like the less popular characters). Like I said, in Lapis' case I just felt she was relate-able. Different people deal with pain differently that others. Sure the backstories of Pearl and Garnet are much more painful than her's, but maybe unlike them she never really had friends or anyone that cared about her to begin with. It's harder to overcome her kind of personal struggle if you have few/no positive experiences to look back on. Given, I can only speak for what I know about her, not how she's developed since then.
I have a few weeks off coming up. I'll try to remember to watch it sometime in my time off.

You have an entirely valid point. I dunno, I guess I just kinda felt like I could relate with her a bit. Sadly, it sounds like she hasn't been developing the way I would have liked her to. Again, I haven't watched the show in a super long time. I did enjoy Peridot quite a bit after she turned "good" too. It's pretty amusing watching her struggle with logic vs emotion and frequently wind up doing something super awkward. Also, the "Coyote and Roadrunner" episode with that super fast corrupted gem was a riot XD
