I've designed a pretty massive original universe and a series of epics that take place in said universe. I was thinking of doing a Patreon for it one day.

Okay sure. I think Uta is sort of like Hisoka in that he is driven by more personal motivations. However unlike Gourmet, he genuinely does care for others given that said others capture his interest. When it comes to characters like Kaneki and Touka, you get the sense that they sort of resent the part of themselves that eat humans. Much like mortality, it's something that they accept because the HAVE to. It's a part of who they are like it or not. Contrast this with Uta who is unique because he fully accepts his nature, who he is, and that he is a ghoul. He feels no shame or guilt from it and non-apologetically is himself. This is what makes him so endearing. His motivations from what I gather is simply to have fun with his life. Without going into manga spoilers his actions denote that he truly has no total loyalties to anyone not even himself. So if you put him into a harem, you'd be betraying his character by having him fall in deep passionate romance. His tattoos and rants on others show that he is a very observant individual so your best bet would be to have him romantically link with the insert early on as sort of a guiding light much as he does in navigating Kaneki with Touka's emotions. Then occasionally have him show up to spice things up or take the risks and say/do the things that no one else will. That's my thought anyway.
