So, here's what I'll do. I shall provide a bit of an intro about myself and why I've decided to quit being a lurker. I'm a student. I've spent a lot of time with my head in my books. As a consequence of this life decision, my big social highlights most weeks are asking the librarian about his criminology PhD and helping younger students with their projects if they need me. A lot of my friends moved away or had their own new lives. Kids, university, whatever -c'est la vie. I stuck to my books. They tend not to go very far (unless you leave them places, like airport bathrooms. Sorry Murakami). But my degree is almost over. It's time I make more friends. I made a fantastic friend out of a guy in the States who let me read his thesis. Why not make some more?

I studied English Lit for a bit. Nowadays I study anime, manga and visual novels. My Japanese is terrible. My sense of humor is dark but I have an upbeat, friendly personality. If I'm slow to respond its because I'm already dead (see that humour coming through now eh?)

I'm not looking for romance, just people to talk to about stuff. I like to travel. I've been to a few European countries as well as China and Japan. I like reading webtoons, manga, manhua, visual novels and 'normal' print books (I once read 'The Tale of Genji' with my morning cornflakes over three months). I like Chinese and Japanese animation. I grew up on American cartoons as well. Korean and Japanese horror movies are great too.

My favorite studio is Shaft. I have watched too much anime to list here but I quite like comedy or psychological stuff. I can laugh at harem for guys and girls even if I'm not into girls or BL. If I have a disease it is called "seasonal anime." A nendroid of Itoshiki Nozomu sits on my desk beside his equally suicidal buddy, Osamu Dazai. Yes. I'm also a 118+ year old vampire. Just like Gackt. If you get to know me we can play a game where you guess my actual age. Maybe I'll add you on LINE or something. It's what all the dastardly kyuuketsuki use these days.
