Well in the show she just kinda inherited it for being the most powerful female wizard, but the origins of the name come from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. Titania was the name of an actual Faerie Queen. (posted this on my page accidentally lol)

Bout the same work work work, going back to school in the Spring so that should be fun. And me calling you Titania wasn't exactly an Erza reference, just calling you the queen of the faeries since no one else seems to claim as much love of fairy tail. Do you know the actual origin of the name Titania.

really, you beat me to it then cause i've been planning to get that tattoo for like a year now. (my rule is i've gotta want the same tattoo for a year before I let myself get it) But I love that show like it's nobodies business
