Well simplest forms can be the nicest cosplays sometimes which may take the longest to create the finer detail in them :3

Thank you it of my oc Nightra who is known as the time alchemist in steampunk Victorian London. I hope to improve on his outfit and probably do his formal wear as well. The one I made is his work wear.

Yeah craft foam is awesome when you know how to use it right of course and shape it to perfection ;). It easy to work with and can add extra materials to make it stronger as well and even water prof (need that especial here in the uk XD). That so cool, I use my nan's at the moment buut she may give it to me most likely since she doesn't use it anymore and I just keep on using it XD. That really cool, I did some Victorian research for my steampuunk England and yes I agree it really fun and interesting what you can find out.

Your welcome ^^. Well can never but know and give it a try, it doesn't matter what your skills are really just as long as you enjoyed making your costume and have fun that all the counts even when competing. Doesn't matter if you win or lose either, everyone starts from somewhere :3. When I started I couldn't sew but thanks to the art and design course I can sew alright and always learning because that what it also about learning and improving all the time, doesn't matter how long you been doing it for either. Even the popular and well known cosplayers are always learning, just never stop but always improving which is the key ^^. Thank you, I am learning at the moment and studying the construction of a quadsuit for my next big project, never done one before but itching to get started =^^= but still at drawing stage and taking each piece apart and writing notes on materials and how to make certain parts. Studying can help and doing design sketches as well even a smaller version of the pattern you think would work best.
