Here is the link to the program: You'd want the beta version and if you wish download the plugin effects as well. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ I've rarely auditioned for parts, but you'll most likely find clusters of casting videos on youtube with some searching.

every time i go to one i end up saving up like 700 bucks, and i still dont have enough to get everything i want!

You'd need a decent microphone and a mixing program, I'd recommend audacity it's free and easy to use. Timing can be a challenge since you have to match the mouth flaps, it'd be good if you had a silent video clip playing as you voice act to help guide you. I'd be more than happy to assist you in any way I can! I wouldn't mind at all, I'll be sure to keep you updated on panels for sure!
