I agree! I'm 24 and I am living with my mom. I'm kinda stuck, though - I don't have enough money to move out, and there's all the things wrong with my truck... I must say, you're amazingly mature for being only 16 (else I'm significantly more immature than I thought, LOL). Anyway, my plans for my days off don't really amount to much, tomorrow I am going with my mom to take her dog to the dog trainer (her dog is an obnoxious St. Bernard). Tuesday, a friend from work is coming over for dinner. I have a huge crush on her, but I haven't told her. I don't want to pressure her or anything and I'm really happy that we're friends, but what depresses me is that her life goals would be next to impossible to achieve if we were together. I'll never be able to make much money with the way the government has me screwed over (I have a disability that requires expensive medications), and her goal would require a good chunk of change to pull off. As of yet, I have no plans for Wednesday or Thursday. Despite working for different companies, our jobs are similar - I work in the Deli at Walmart. We have the sliced meats, and a hot case with chicken, potatoes, and such.

Sorry for the late reply, things have been really busy for me... I have definitely learned that there is very little correlation between age and maturity, especially this day and age. But brainwashing to instill fear of the "real world" is way over the top. I'm glad I get 4 days off starting tomorrow... I'm on lunch now... (I work at Walmart, lol)

XKCD is a nerdy web comic, www.xkcd.org IIRC. The hug pillows at the mall I went to were only about 2 to 2 1/2 feet long, not exactly life size (especially to someone 6 foot tall like me, lol). I would like to get some new Pillow Cases, but for now continuing my truck repairs comes first. My Ex liked to talk about what she wanted, but was too lazy to work towards making goals. She really needed to get away from her psycho parents, but "wasn't ready for the real world" despite being about a year lder than me. I know I'm not fully in the real world yet, but I'm doing the best I can, while she still lets her parents manipulate and brainwash her. Her parents tried manipulating me thru her, but I wouldn't let them, so they had her demand someting from me, but I stuck to my beliefs, so we broke up. Sorry about the rant... I may be over the relationship I had with her, but I'm still kinda bitter about the manipulation that her parents tried on me.

I know of both those bands. But I mostly pull my influence from the heavier stuff. My favorite bands come and go, but the band that got me started playing guitar was Metallica, so I always cite them as my favorite. But the band that challenged the way I played was Iced Earth. Give them a listen when you get the chance!
