Been an otaku as far back as Junior High. I stuck with manga until anime had started showing better animation and also started becoming more commercial. I honestly believe that it's going to be similar to how video games were here in the West. Ostracized to multi billion dollar industry. But enough about that. My favorite series is the Fate/Stay Night series and it's gratuitous spin offs. Partly for it's premise but also the hero of the story, Shirou Emiya, is my go to for seemingly simple characters with a deep complexity to their behavior. He will hold my number 1 spot for protagonist. On the reverse, my favorite villain would have to be Adachi Tohru from Persona 4, with Kirei Kotomine following. Adachi was one of the few villains who I thought had some good observations of the world. While he was egotistical, sexist, and quite obviously a sociopath; I believe that he acted as most would if they were given a supernatural power. 'I did it cause I could. It looked interesting, so I watched.' That's enough babbling, feel free to message, recommend me an anime or just talk about one we may mutually like or dislike.
