Mid-30s dork, polyamorous, demi-pansexual, late-bloomer, switch kinkster, and pun-lover just trying to figure things out and make sense of life (even more so coming out of the P a n d e m i c ™) I'm vaccinated and don't mess around with anyone not wearing a mask.
Currently unemployed thanks to Covid (my former employer laid off 80% of in-office staff) so I've been spending the last year trying to get more IT skills under my belt as well as look for new opportunities. I live with my Father as I'm taking care of him (he's in his 70s and is showing early signs of dementia) and that's somehow been a problem for prospective relationships in the past? It isn't the most ideal living situation but I love the guy and want to make sure he's safe (also, cost of living in my area is ridiculous so it helps us both out.)
I'm proud of who I am and know what it is that I want but the past few relationships I've been in have shamed me for my interests so trying to be loud and take more pride in who I am and what I love. I'm hoping that being on a nerd-centered dating site will help with that.
When I'm not watching my nephew or taking care of my Dad, I'm either trying to do something fun outside (when the weather permits) or ditching the heat and staying occupied indoors. I started playing Final Fantasy 14 with a friend during the pandemic, and I'm an avid retro-gamer.
I used to be very involved in the local kink scene but due to a great deal of transphobia and toxic people I stopped going to events. This hasn't kept me from staying up-to-date on things and advocating for proper dynamics and play.
It should go without saying but I'm only interested in those who truly believe and advocate for BLM, Trans rights, human rights, LGTBQA+ rights, who didn't vote for Trump, and who are actively trying to make the world a better place and not just posting a bunch of memes to try and be an ally. That said, I'm looking for someone that is also into cosplay and enjoys doing something physical like playing dodgeball as much as they like staying indoors and gaming together.
