I'm a pretty serious person and pretty logical about most things which I guess seems to be too much for most people to handle unless they have known me for some time. Anywho... I already have a bachelor's degree in English as well as a minor in Japanese. I just graduated with my second degree which is secondary education and I just have one last state test to take to earn my teaching certification. I like to read and I write stories from fantasy to sci-fi and recently I've taken a liking to trying to write historical fiction. I like to watch lots of foreign films and anime, but I feel a little behind due to the business of school and having just returned from my student teaching internship overseas.
I hope to one day become fluent in Japanese and to live in Japan to possibly teach English at the schools for a few years. I have been in love with Japan since I first got into anime, which seems like ages ago. I think I can blame Rurouni Kenshin for my love for Japan and other things have appeared that drew my interest to the culture, language, music, anime, ball-jointed dolls, etc. Even though I'm a serious person I can also be pretty nerdy too on other things such as Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, and so much more! I LOVE Big Bang Theory! Sometimes I wish I could find a smart, nerdy guy like Leonard, since he's at least reasonable when compared to Sheldon. I love Sheldon and he kind of reminds me with my own logic, but I think that might be a little hard to have a relationship with someone just like him lol.
I LOVE to cosplay and I also collect ball jointed dolls (bjds) so if you can either overlook them or be alright with them then we will be off to a great start! I live in Oklahoma, but I have family in Dallas so I'm always traveling to and from there. A friend of mine and I make our cosplay costumes so whenever I'm not actually working, I'm normally working on something cosplay-wise....We go to cons in OK, TX, and every other year we go to Canada for one! I'm really big in mythology too. I love Japanese, Greek/Roman, and Norse mythology. I am a heavy book reader (manga included) whenever I am not exhausted and plan to have enough books to have my own personal library one day.
I can be crazy and funny sometimes, but I do know I can also be a little too serious for my own good so I kind of need someone who will help loosen me up a little to enjoy life. Also be patient with me because I have my moments where if I get a lot of attention I might feel smothered or try and push someone away. I guess I'm kind of nervous to get close to someone because I don't want my heart broken again.
I'm not much of an outdoor person, so I'm not too fond of hiking and such. I do love to shop, but really if it's on books, anime, bjd, or technology stuff.
My favorite anime right now is Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan, Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, and Kamisama Hajimemashita (I'd recommend them to anyone). Some of my other favorite anime/ manga are: Outlaw Star, Gundam Wing, Tsubasa Chronicles, Trinity Blood, Kuroshitsuji, 07 Ghost, Ouran High School Host Club, Ah My Goddess and many many more that are from years ago or to more recent ones.
Favorite animal? Rabbits (since in the zodiac I am one), foxes, dolphins, and phoenixes (even if they are mythological). I like to listen to classical music, soundtrack music, pop, J-Pop (which is what I listen to the most, especially Gackt), etc. I kind of stick out in my family because of my love for Japan *sweatdrop*. I’m hoping to have more Otaku friends as well as find that special someone and such so please feel free to add me as a friend and send me a message.
I'm looking for a guy who loves to cosplay. I'm looking for my Kenshin, my Kirito, etc. That's probably the biggest thing for me as well as tolerating my BJD collection. He also has to have a love for Japan because if I go and teach over there for a few years, I'd want a guy who'd want to come with me. I'll be honest in a relationship, sometimes too honest, and I expect the same in return because my last relationship was pretty rough.
