Well back then I didn't have access to cable TV, so reading manga was the only option I had, with the exception of CCS, Pokemon, and a few others. Whenever I had access to Adult Swim I would always watch Inu Yasha and the like. For me at least a lot of the show was episodic, so it was nice for someone who wasn't able to watch the show consistently. You may get bored by that easily though. That music is really nice. It sounds so nostalgic even though I've never seen the series, haha. There is one manga I'm reading where the female lead switches her gender constantly and even includes the guy cross dressing frequently, Family Compo.I was originally attracted to the great art but the characters really drew me in. It really intrigued me since it showed how the male lead lives in a family where both parents are transgender. It has a very typical slice-of-life 90's seinen feel too, so you might just like it.

I actually have not read Maison Ikkoku, but that's probably because there were never volumes available in the library/book store. I did read Inu Yasha though. I'm also watching Kyoukai no Rinne, although you can definitely see some similarities to Inu Yasha, and the character designs look very similar to those in Ranma 1/2. Hmm, gender-swap is also fairly common in Shounen works too, although the majority of the time they are "traps". And there are a few instances of girls dressing up like guys, like Tsugumi from Nisekoi. Although I'm not blaming you for not getting into more shoujo works, since a lot of them are just school girls trying to get their bishie prince to like them. It gets boring after a while. :T

Well I didn't watch the anime, I read the manga. I considered watching the anime when I first learned there was an anime adaptation, but the art style was so different from the manga it ended up being a huge turn-off. I also never watched the Sailor Moon anime, just read the manga. That's not really transgender though, it's gender-swap more than anything. I dunno, it never really bothered me since it's common enough in anime and manga. The whole female-to-male shtick is also pretty prevalent in a lot of shoujo works, which was a pretty significant portion of what I read and watched up until high school. Honestly, I think it's weirder that Mamoru, a college student in the anime, goes around at night dawning a tuxedo in his spare time and dates a middle school student, but that's just me.

The premise sounds interesting enough. Eh, I wouldn't necessarily say that, me knowing CLAMP is probably because Cardcaptor Sakura was my first anime. I ended up reading the manga in elementary school and sealed my fate to Chinese cartoons. o.o I read as much CLAMP as I could find in the library back then. That and Ranma 1/2. eheheh. Yeah, I didn't quite understand what ecchi was as a child.

Well the last time I actually watched Death Note was probably 5-6 years ago, so it's hard to say. I'm not a huge fan of mecha, but I've watched a couple of shows with mecha elements, like Suisei no Gargantia. Fortunately I haven't heard much about Code Geass besides how good it is and that "Notto disu shitto again" meme. .___. I think I'm good.

For whatever reason I still haven't gotten around watching Code Geass even though I've watched most things having anything to do with CLAMP. Eh, I don't really rank the anime on the same scale since they're all different genres. I really like the whole cast of characters of GTO and how much they changed throughout the series, so perhaps that's the reason it's not as impressive for you. Also, the show is just so outrageous it's difficult not to like GTO. Although the last two episodes were a bit lackluster. :I

I know. I've heard that phrase so many times from people that I like to throw them off by being serious. haha
