@vampire_neko: The culture in Hawaii is pretty Asian oriented with so many Asians living there. Not as strict as in Japan though. There's a lot of fun Asian festivals like bon dances. People will have their 'public' face and 'private' face. They may have a tendency to keep what they really think to themselves if it will cause conflict and instead talk about issues to others instead of the person themselves. But people in Hawaii are actually quite friendly and welcoming. The weather is hot and humid but the islands have trade winds so that's nice. Lots of beautiful places to hike. Traffic is horrendous on Oahu, not sure about the big island. Grandma always tells me about how housing and pretty much everything is so much more expensive and how the traffic is horrible but this is Oahu we're talking about.

I see you grew up in Hawaii, where at and how did you like the culture and weather? I've considered moving there at some point (probably the big island). I prefer warmer year-round weather. However I don't plan to move anyplace permanently while I'm still single, till I find someone to settle down with and see where they want to live.
