It may sound naive and childish but I believe in rule of balance. Meaning that every bad thing that has ever happened creates a positive reflection. And well...since the history of the world is history of war there just has to happen something great eventually.

The most disgusting truth about the world wars or any wars for that matter is the fact that they were all about profit rather than conquest. All was a staged mass slaughter in order to fill the pockets of some greedy power hungry pig sitting in office smoking a cigar. So yeah...I wouldn't really say that any of the countries was really victorious in those wars. But I do get your point. It could be even worse. Oh much much worse.....
