On the other side, Happy Birthday to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia which was also born that day in the ashes. After Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia and Slovenia, declared independence. Serbia and Montenegro decided to remain in a rump Yugoslav state known The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Sadly, Yugoslavia would be the bloodiest break up of a Slavic state with the Slavs killing their fellow Slavs who were once their brothers and neighbors.
