Lishifu @hakutaku Nobody die. But two patients who got diagnosed with it happened to be in Beijing (they were advised to go to Beijing to get better treatment) when they finally got diagnosed so people were a bit terrified. So far both are alive.

Ghost @kuharido Bubonic plague never went away. It's still all around the world. Better sanitation just keeps carrier rodents and fleas at bay. The plague genetic wise is still the same from the middle ages and antibiotics can easily treat it. You can only get it from carrier bites. In some people bubonic plague mutates into pneumonic plague which can be transferred through breathing. It's all easisly treatable now. One day someone may get infected that mutates the plague into a super strain that is resistant to treatment. Let's hope that never comes.

Lishifu @hakutaku Thanks Rafa.Yeah, in modern times, we should not worry too much because medicine has evolved, and antibiotics still work on most people :). Yeah, Snake, most famous infectious diseases like Black Death, Cholera and Smallpox never went away, especially Black Death (certain animals still carry the bacteria), but human beings can deal with them in better ways now. It is so difficult to survive in the ancient times when people tended to depend on God for hopes of survival...

Ghost @kuharido Smallpox is considered eradicated now. Only two vials exist in Russia and America for testing. There were some vials found in a abandoned lab a while ago but they were secure.
