Have you ever read the Code:Breaker manga Imōto? xP
hakutaku
Lishifu @hakutaku あにうえ/aniue, I didn't read its manga because I found its anime somewhat boring...Classical shounen manga...
burninghalo
BurningHalo @burninghalo I will give credit in that the manga, at least initially to me, was attempting to do an about face on how society views justice. It wasn't anything groundbreaking mind you but it was as least refreshing that it might become deep. Sort of a battle of ideologies between two people who see different perspectives in the system... Uuunfortunately you were right to assume in this case. Because the mange devolved into a shounen battle series with any semblance of philosophical debate whittled down to sophist ideologies that would not hold up in my high school's debate club.
burninghalo
BurningHalo @burninghalo I was actually going to ask if you had any thoughts on why shows with a good premise end up doing that. Same thing happened with SAO, it had an admittedly interesting premise and they flubbed it up

Lishifu @hakutaku Aniki is a cool word :D. I like to use it to address guys who are slightly older than me, meanwhile, I use oneesama to address girls who are slightly older than me (*゚∀゚*).

I guess the shortest answer I could give would be: I would pull a light Yagami, learn how the book works, find a way to take advantage of it's predictions, and then use it to improve my life. That includes making sure that the ending is a good one.

Depends on what realms of logic the book operates on. Obviously I'd want to avoid any negative outcomes in my life. At the same time to never be surprised would in itself be a bit of a downer. So my decision to read the book itself affects each and every choice I make. And the person I am is the result of my choices. This would also be an incredibly long book unless it was highly abridged. Much of my actions are based on highly nuanced circumstances. Over simplify it and I would end up making an entirely different decision. Over complicate it and by the time I end up making a choice the moment may have passed. If it were something like the abridged series online where it kind of just glosses over major events then sure I'd give it a read. Hell I'd have fun and see if changing my mind on the fly for less consequential events actually affects the writing in the book. If however this was like some kind of novella where it literally ran through the ends and outs of my entire life then I would come up with some kind of word unique to me and make note to shout said word aloud every time a major event in my life occurred and then just skim for every time I see the word. Something like that anyway. Like I said, it depends on the mechanics and flow of this book but I would definitely use it.

BurningHalo @burninghalo Such a question, I don't have a simple answer for xD

Sigh.Interesting article."The origins of your endeavors to keep others at a distance: 1.The way your caretakers treated you made you feel neglected, disapproved of, or rejected — in a word, unloved. 2. You had frightening experiences of abandonment, and so resolved never to allow yourself to be emotionally dependent again. 3. One of your parents sought to “absorb” you into themselves." I've been used to them... https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/evolution-the-self/201804/3-reasons-intimacy-might-feel-too-dangerous-you

Yes i was forced to learn sanskrit. When i was in 6th grade we had to choose a 3rd language(1st language: english, 2nd language: hindi are compulsary) either sanskrit, marathi or french! sanskrit is honestly speaking easier than most languages (even though it has many rules) so if you want to score you would also pick what i did which was sanskrit. And when you reach 9th grade you drop off marathi and french from the curriculum and then you get a choice between hindi and sanskrit as the 2nd language! And trust me, again to get score SANSKRIT IS EASIER THAN HINDI, so i picked sanskrit again and had that till 10th. So i learned 5 years of sanskrit and i must say i "had" attained quite a high level of sanskrit, i could read and write sentences in sankrit quite easily, read the vedas (we had vedas as part of our sanskrit course, so its pretty much forced) and understand them and also speak pretty well. Words in this language are pretty long compared to modern languages, there are lots of prefixes and suffix! Hell there were even prefixes to prefix! each word had atleast 13+ different forms, but they are easy to remember coz all 13+ forms have a pattern which is kinda poetic and so if you get to remember a few patterns then you can just make up the other words as they are rhyming lol! If you ask me now.. i dont know much of it, just as easy was it for me to learn it was to forget too, coz of the lack of daily use! I dont remember much of how to use that language now (been 5.5 years since i have practiced sanskrit) but given enough time i can decipher it even now. The verbal sanskrit wasnt taught at the same time, like around 6th it was only about how to write it.. but with time the verbal sanksrit caught up to its written part. Like by around 9th we could both write and talk in sanskrit fluently, but you wouldnt normally do it coz hindi is much less complicated version of sankrit and everyone prefers talking in hindi(still hindi is difficult in exams lmao... coz hindi literature is more strict and you need to be really really good at it to score, where as in sanskrit just being mediocre will give you good scores).
