I'd definitely suggest you read 月姫 at some point though, the art hasn't really aged well since that was TYPE-MOON's first VN ever back when they were just a small doujin circle but it was an interesting read. The common route (Arcuied and Ciel) are a bit standard like the Fate route was in the Fate VN. But the rest of the routes have very interesting twists and general storytelling.

Ah, I've never read 魔法使いの夜. I should do that at some point. But hmmm in terms of stories I really enjoyed the original Fate VN, the Heaven's Feel route was my favorite because of the surprising amount of character development that Shirou, Kotomine, and Ilyasviel had in that route. Kotomine and Shirou's moral conflict during that route was quite thought-provoking, especially since Kotomine wanted to allow Angra Mainyu to be born from the grail simply because he believed that no one has the right to judge what should and should not exist based off of the very loose concept of "good and evil". hollow/ataraxia was interesting too, Avenger/Angra Mainyu's story was very tragic which made Kotomine's words sound even more convincing in hindsight. In terms of heroic spirits/英霊...I think Nero Claudius would be my favorite, she was a very interesting take on someone who was infamously known in history as a despot. I also like Cu Chulainn and Medusa.

You know now that I think about it every time we've spoken was always about more serious topics. I'm also a huge Fate/TYPE-MOON fan but I've never actually brought the topic up with you. Are you familiar with and/or are a fan of any of the other TYPE-MOON works such as Tsukihime (月姫) Kara no Kyoukai (空の境界), etc? I still like Fate a bit more than those two series but I thought they were very interesting. Though I only watched the Kara no Kyoukai movie adaptions.

I read this book's Chinese translation twice.
