Ok.... I'm not really good at this sort of thing, but here goes. I spend a lot of time watching anime. some of my favorites are Outlaw Star, AOT, Gungrave, and Ergo Proxy. it's been a while since i've read any manga, but some of my favs are Petshop of Horror, Vampire Hunter D, and Trinity Blood.
