Yeah, I learned from that lesson to never speak Thai with a Lao accent ever again.

i totally trolled a teacher once. she was talking about people being offensive and stuff and people offending other people blahblahblah and someone burped out loud and she was like "excuse you" and i was like "Did that OFFEND you?" and she gave me detention for being a wise-ass.

Wow, that sucks. That happen to me once, I tried speaking Thai once with a Lao accent and I thought Lao people would understand me, but they just glared at me evilly. I was so scared. xD
