永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 That's okay, Yeesh you've been sick for 6 weeks?! O_O I'm really sorry to hear about that. I'm glad you're feeling much better though. And yeah, I agree. I just think it's fun to read about countries. I've only really traveled with my folks outside of the U.S when I was 4 years old. I went to Canada. And I also went to Germany and Iran when I was about 10. I'd love to travel someday though it's hard financially to do that these days... So there are others who dabble in Game Design that's good to know. I've actually seen Whisper of the Heart before.. It's a fun corny movie, but I liked it quite a bit. I love Laputa: A Castle in the Sky. Have you ever seen that Miyazaki movie before?
thesailingteacup
PucaetGniliasEht @thesailingteacup You went to Iran!?!!?!?! I wanna go there!!! Yeah, I wasn't a fan of that movie. and I always forget why and then I watch it and i'm like ugh that's why. xD
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Yeah, it's a very beautiful country. It's a very new and different experience when you're a kid in a foreign country. I went literally when 911 happened at the end of that summer, so it was really unexpected and very scary. I'm curious, what don't you like about that movie if I might ask?

oh, nice!! an artist eh? :D i'm into art myself, though i've never really been all that good at it. i'm more talented in the musical area of art. i'd love to see some of your works sometime! c: (also, if you verify your phone number i think you should be able to reply!)
vileangel
vileangel @vileangel oh, and my day was great, first day of school!!
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Aha! Seems like that fixed it! Thanks. ^_^ But yeah, I've been drawing since my senior year of high school which was like 11 years ago. xD You're probably around that age. Time certainly flies by. haha And sure, I'll post some art in the art forums section at some point. Truthfully, I'm actually a traditional artist, so I haven't really dabbled in digital art, but I'd definitely like to soon. So you're into music? That's pretty neat. Do you play an instrument for a school band or are you in a choir? Also, do you have a favorite music genre?
vileangel
vileangel @vileangel no problem! and that's insane, you must have gained quite the experience then! can't wait to see some of your creations. :3 and i understand the love for traditional art, that's what i tend to be more interested in as well. painting has got to be my favorite though, but trust me, i'm no van gogh. hehe. and yes, i'm very interested in all areas of music!! i don't do anything for school musically, i like to keep it within myself and family. my dad's side of the family is very musically inclined, so we all play instruments together and have sang for years. my favorite genre is definitely rock, to put it simply. of course i have favorite eras of it, but i'll use 'rock' as a blanket term for now so i don't go on a huge rant about my favorite areas and tastes. x3
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Hehe, I suppose. I was actually not very good in the beginning, and didn't really take it seriously until college. But I took a ton of art classes and practiced a lot. I'm still improving. I consider myself very weak in perspective and so-so with anatomy. XP Oh, that's good that you do music for yourself! I was wondering cause I had to take an elective in high school, so I took choir for my Freshman and Sophmore years. Then I took drawing as my final elective for Senior. Though, technically I was doing Choir since my 7th grade of middle school...So 4 years. So you like Rock, that's a good genre. XP
vileangel
vileangel @vileangel well, i think it's great that you're taking such an interest in it now! you'll only improve from here, so don't worry about the areas you're shaky on. just focus on what you can do to make them better (which i'm sure but you already do) and stay positive about it! :D the impact art has is genuinely indescribable. i really adore it. i'm so glad it can bring people together and encourage people to just be creative and have fun with it. it's a great thing. and yeah, i wish i could have taken classes like that!! they don't offer anything musical at all at our school, beside the joke of a chorus class and a music theory elective in which the teacher doesn't actually teach you shit. apparently she's very repetitive and monotone, and isn't enthusiastic or caring about her class. i don't want a teacher like that so i missed out on any possible classes. and did you enjoy those music classes, or were they just another class to you? i've always wondered if i'd like it or not, but it seems boring from the descriptions i've heard so far. and i wholeheartedly agree, rock is a good genre!!!
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Thanks a ton I appreciate that! ^_^ Art is definitely a powerful thing indeed. No matter what media whether it'd be music, drawing, or even film, they all have the power to soothe the soul. That's a damn shame though that they don't offer music classes. And the fact that there are teachers that do not care about teaching is ridiculous. I'm not sure if I was lucky cause I was in the Magnet Arts program since middle school, but there was always a musical elective. I initially did not want to take Choir middle school, but I had no choice. Originally they put me in a Band class. But, I did not like the Band teacher, she was very mean. So I tried to switch for Strings cause I regretted not learning the Violin when my folks put me classes when I was just a little kid. However, the Strings teacher didn't have the time to teach me how to read notes. So Choir was my only option. Also, there was very few guys in the class so that in itself was awkward. I had fantastic Choir teachers though. They clearly loved to teach and had passion for music. Either way, the short answer is Choir was pretty much another class to me. xD.
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Oh also, I left out video games and anime. They're both considered art forms. Both forms of art which I really love from a personal level. XP
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 And dance of course can't forget that! Also, sorry if I seem to get lengthy. An old habit of mine. hahaha.
vileangel
vileangel @vileangel ahh, sounds like you have an interesting musical background! x3 and i understand, i like long messages! it's much nicer than most of the one word replies i get. also, dance?!? didn't know you danced!! you gotta tell me more about that! and video games are truly a form of art too. lots of work is put into them that is often overlooked.
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Ah, that's good to know. And I guess I do come from a musical background since my old man is a musician, and my sis was very into the theater arts and choir throughout middle and high school too. Also, about Dance... I sorta meant that Dance was a form of art that I left out previously. xD Although, I did take some Dance in middle school. One time was for an after school program sponsored by Arnold Schwarzenegger(I actually met him btw) at the time. The teacher I had was really nice. I remember we had to do that song Billy Jean by Michael Jackson as our performance. But it was short lived, and I eventually transferred schools afterwards. I took another Dance class in 8th grade which was considered my P.E. class. But I had a guy teacher that time who also ended up being my summer school Math teacher ironically. He was a cool teacher. He once showed us a very old classic Science Fiction film during my summer school Math class. Dunno if you've heard of it, or are into Science Fiction at all? But it's called "The Day the Earth Stood Still." It's a very fascinating movie for the time it was made. By the way, speaking of video games do you play any yourself? Or have any favorite video games? Or have a favorite genre?
vileangel
vileangel @vileangel me too!!! my family as a whole loves music, so it was almost like i got this music gene that made me love it. x3 and i swear.. every time someone talks about taking a dance class, i always hear about that billie jean dance! every time!!! i guess it's like a classic dance song or something. and you met ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER?! no way!!! get to da choppa!! and i've seen parts of it, i believe i had to watch it for school one time since i had a biology teacher who was a science fiction junkie. my favorite by far was called gattaca though. amazing movie. and no sadly, i don't play any games. used to play some stuff with my brother, but once he moved to college i sorta lost the love for it and never bought any other consoles to use. i do like those old shooter games though, stuff like contra. old nintendo game type stuff. they make me all nostalgic.
eternallunar1
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 I never knew Billie Jean was a popular song in Dance class. Wonder if my afterschool teacher started that trend. xD And yes, I met the great Arnie. I was incredibly excited at the time cause I loved the movies I've seen him in. He was mega buff as I remember in person. But he was really nice especially with kids. I probably have an old photo of him with me when I was young somewhere... Contra huh. THAT is old school. I've never played any of those games myself, but it seems to be a classic among old school Nintendo fans from what I've heard... The shooter genre never really appealed to me. Although, I did play a bit of Wolfenstein Doom on PC, but that was more first person shooter. I got lost in that game a lot cause it was literally a maze. I really loved Vectorman as a kid though. It was an action 2D side scrolling shooter for the Sega Genesis. It was the very first video game I ever played when I like 5 and not to mention the console that I grew up with. It was a science fiction-y sorta game about robots taking over mankind. You take control of this hero robot named Vectorman who has like special powers and abilities and you have to defeat this huge, evil cyborg named Warhammer. But yeah, I love JRPGs. I love video games with good writing and interesting characters. Speaking of which I did post a sketch of one of my JRPG favorite characters in the art forums. It's probably not great... but feel free to check that out if you want to. ^_^ Also, Gattaca I'll check that science fiction movie out at some point whenever I get the chance. I should check out more of them...
