Honestly, I just be watching shit. I like shows with action and comedy elements. I try to broaden my horizons with stuff outside of mainly battle shonen, but I get bored with them; nonetheless, I still force myself to watch them because of a personal rule I made with myself to never drop an anime. It does sound silly, I know, because why waste your time watching something you don't like, right? For some reason, it feels unfair and rude to not watch something people poured time and effort into simply because it doesn't immediately appeal to me; even if the work is objectively bad, that story and art was still made by someone putting their all into it, so for me, watching it anyway is my way of showing appreciation of the people who contribute to one of my favorite sources of entertainment, therefore isn't a waste of time for me. I do understand how self-contradictory I sound — willingly consuming slop can hurt the anime industry in various ways, like take isekai slop for example, studios would rather adapt that over more higher quality stuff. I'm only human okay!?
